Who is Eligible for Awas Yojana 2026?
Not everyone can apply. The government has set strict criteria to ensure only the needy get the house. You are eligible for the PMAYG West Bengal List 2026 only if:
- You are homeless or living in a zero-room/one-room Kaccha house.
- Your family name is present in the SECC 2011 List or Awas Plus 2018 Survey.
- No member of your family owns a Pucca house anywhere in India.
- The head of the family is an adult (18+ years).
- Priority is given to SC, ST, Minorities, and Landless Labourers.
❌ New Rules 2026: Why Names are Deleted?
Many people are complaining that their names were on the waiting list but are now missing. This is due to the 13-Point Exclusion Criteria. You will be REJECTED if your family has:
- Motorized Vehicle: A 2-wheeler (Bike/Scooty), 3-wheeler, or 4-wheeler.
- Government Job: Any member earning more than ₹10,000/month in a Govt or Pvt job.
- Kisan Credit Card (KCC): Limit of ₹50,000 or above.
- Appliances: A Refrigerator or Landline Phone connection.
- Land: More than 2.5 acres of irrigated agricultural land.
- Professional Tax: If any member pays Income Tax or Professional Tax.
Note: If you think your name was wrongly removed, you must submit your Income Certificate and complaint to the BDO Office immediately.

How to Check Awas Yojana Status by Name/Aadhar?
Don’t have the Registration Number? Don’t worry. You can search your name using the “Search Beneficiary” option.
Currently, the “Search by Aadhar” feature is disabled for privacy. However, you can check status by Registration Number which you can find in the list above.
To check payment status (FTO):
- Go to the Direct Status Page: pmayg.nic.in/BenificiaryStatus.
- Enter your Registration Number in the box.
- Click on Submit.
- You will see your House Sanction Status, Bank Account details, and Installment date.
💰 When Will the Money Come? (Installment Dates)
Once your house is sanctioned and your Job Card is mapped, the money is released in 3 installments. The state government aims to complete the 1st installment transfer by February 2026.

- ✅ 2nd Installment: ₹50,000 (Lintel Level)
