RRB Group D Eligibility Criteria 2026
Before filling out the form, ensure you meet the age and educational requirements. The Railway Recruitment Board has made some changes this year.
1. Age Limit (as on 01.07.2026)
- General / EWS: 18 to 33 Years
- OBC (NCL): 18 to 36 Years (3 Years Relaxation)
- SC / ST: 18 to 38 Years (5 Years Relaxation)
(Note: Age is calculated as of July 1, 2026.)
2. Educational Qualification: Is ITI Mandatory?
This is the biggest question. According to the CEN 09/2025 notification:
- ✅ For Civil, Engineering, Mechanical & Electrical Posts: 10th Pass + NAC (Apprentice) OR 10th + ITI is preferred.
- ✅ For Other Departments (Track Maintainer, etc.): 10th Pass (Matriculation) is sufficient.
Final Verdict: Simple 10th Pass students CAN APPLY for specific posts.
Selection Process (How to get the Job?)
To get selected for RRB Group D (Level-1), you must clear 3 stages:

- PET (Physical Efficiency Test):
- Male: Lift 35kg (100m in 2 min) + Run 1000m in 4:15 min.
- Female: Lift 20kg (100m in 2 min) + Run 1000m in 5:40 min.
- Document Verification (DV) & Medical Test.
